One house walks the underworld, more interested in money and respect then status and titles. This is house Ladrone, home to pimps and prostitutes, crime lords and drug dealers. Ventrue is the blood of kings- to be Ventrue is to be a ruler, but not all rulers had their demense handed to them on a silver platter. Some fight for what they have, or connive, or plot. Usurper the deposed cry, but the Ladrone know better- They have excercised the right of their blood- rulership, dominion. The Ladrone rule over that which they can take.

Long associated with robber barons and other criminal kings, the Ladrone as a house have been around for a long time. Although they sire less often than many other houses, they have Long held a tradition of adopting those Ventrue who live up to their ideals, such that while many Ladrone trace their lineage to a former Ladrone House leader, noone can say for sure their decent comes from the original house head. the House contains several smaller lineage chains, but all consider themselves members of the Ladrone (some kindred even officially warp their lineages for this end).

Not every Ventrue rules from atop a throne, surrounded by loyal sycophants. Some choose to rule from the shadows, dark lords preying on the baser instincts of man and kindred alike. This isn't a matter of opportunity, the kindred that choose this path do so with full knowledge of the world they enter, and in doing so they put practicality before pride.

It is said that each Ladrone keeps a copy of Sun Tzu's The Art of War on their bookcase, and Machiavelli's The Prince under their pillow.
