Mr Lark is one of the most unpleasant Nosferatu in Kindred Society. While not actually evil or bad-tempered, he is creepy, ugly, bureaucratic, officious and callous. Most Kindred find it frustrating that he seems to have a form and process for everything and any action must have orders signed in triplicate, sent in, sent back, queried, lost, found, subjected to public inquiry, lost again, and quite probably buried in soft peat for three months before being recycled as firelighters. Mr Lark runs things - he does not rule, or decide, he just follows procedure and precedent and makes systems work - the disturbing thing is apparently how well this paper-pushing ugly infuriating creepy kindred does get things working. On no account should you allow Mr Lark to read poetry to you.

Quotes
- "A difficult choice. On the one hand the cold killing can be quite masterful in the amount of preparation and planing it takes, not to mention the ineptitude of the investigations falling for ruses and patsies. On the other hand a passionate killing can too be masterful in the sheer endurance and ends that an emotional person will go about to get revenge and inflict suffering to the utmost of the being before their life is taken in the master-stroke of a bloody visceral artwork of vengeance. However, the paperwork and legal arguments that result are equally brilliant - perhaps more so than the crimes - whether or not they convince the authorities of the guilt or innocence matters not, if solid documentation and precedent endure for the rest of eternity."
- small talk when Jaagup Rebane asked whether passionate or passionless murder was the greater crime.
- "If I may interject? I have calculated that your current conversation has taken up two Trivial Boons worth of my Prince's time, and I have taken the liberty of preparing the paperwork for you, but before you continue, may I get an indication as to whether this speech will persist for excess of 5 minutes - as if it does, this would necessitate upgrading to a Minor Boon."
- "Paperwork at Court? Well, if you say so. I don't really understand it myself. I'll just get someone to read this over, alright?"
- Lillian Slaughter, retreating in confusion.
- "Oh, you can be assured Mr Lark has a form already for that."
- Caius Metullus Coriolanus, responding to an objection regarding new processes.
- "Its a fuckin' Vogon."
- Julian Carmine
- "I'm certain he'll be quite thorough"
- Gideon, with a faint tick evident in one eye.
- "He seems somehow familiar, but never stayed in my line of sight long enough for me to get a good look at him and remember if I have actually met him before. Oh well, I suppose it isn't really that important."
- Bishop Gabriela Zaragoza
Rumours
- Mr Lark will not stand within 10 feet of Edward Sax, Jaagup Rebane, Ruby Gloom or Viktor Korovin - and will not sit when they are nearby.
- Lark was sent by the Invictus (he's not really Carthian) to keep an eye on their power-less prince.
- Is Phillip Smythe's 'handler'.
- Is an unknown face with way too much power over Prince Smythe.
- Is exactly what he seems... what ever that is.
