Information Known by Kindred Society

Nikolai is what you might describe as tall, dark and handsome. In life he adored fine food, housing, women and wine. He quickly developed a cult of personality and became used to getting what he wanted, when he wanted, how he wanted it. It was this quality, this phenomenal ego, that drew his sire to him. In death, he gets all this and more – but now he has so many more ways to get it.

Nikolai has no respect for what he sees as Khalia’s self-imposed depressive state. A strong man who always took whatever he wanted, he is widely known for his predilections to do anything to anyone for any reason. He is a force of nature – unpredictability veiled by a thin veneer of restraint (as opposed to control). Vice is his playground, destroying the virtuous his favoured sport. He has always had the knack for fitting into any situation. Rumour has it that he has already reclaimed the blood of a small brood of his own. His Carthian fellows have always denounced him as a poseur for his lipservice to the tenets of the Covenant, however his habits as a social chameleon pass to his childer almost as though it were part of the blood – if only he would stop destroying his own mortal allies for entertainment. Nikolai does what he wants and who he wants, how he wants, when he wants. He is desire and need without restraint or forethought in Kindred form and fears only the repercussions of his sire.

When frustrated he cannot help himself, he cannot hold in the impulses – he simply has to destroy something. Purity, faith, honour, hope, all these things are soft targets for Nikolai who, to outsiders, appears incapable of thinking more than two steps ahead. Or is he gifted with an incredible run of serendipity?

Oddly, a few wrinkles have begun to develop upon his features in recent years...
