Timeline
1842 - Born in Singapore
1860 - Just after her brother leaves for university Oriana marries an Englishman who works at the docks with her father. His name is Edward William's. Oriana loves him in the begining but that soon fades as she begins to see a violent and abusive side to Edward still she plays the part of a good and loyal wife.
1861 - Oriana gives birth to her first child however the child which she named Phillip does not survive.
1863 - Gives birth to a second child, a little girl which she names Charlotte.
1864 - Brother returned to Singapore, immediately hates his wife.
1865 - Oriana's child Charlotte dies of smallpox at only two years of age.
1866 - Edward dissapears. Brother informs that he is away on business.
1867 - Edward's body washes up on shore, heavily mutilated displaying several wounds that are almost trademarks of her brothers cruelety. Confronts Ezekial about the body but he denies the accusations. Regardless of what he says Oriana is not convinced.
1867 - Singapore becomes a Crown Colony, slaves become illegal, her brother is forced to give his up and is not happy at this idea. Oriana begins to quietly whisper things in various ex slaves ears slowely getting them worked up against her brother.
1868 - As a result of Oriana's whispers the former slaves rise up against their former master because of his cruelty towards them though Oriana's real reason for inciting them is more sinester and is two fold, she wants revenge for Edward's death as well as wanting her brothers attentions all to herself. She figures if they kill his wife then all will be even and forgiven. They attack during dinner in much greater force then Oriana had arranged and killed Ezekial's wife and child, Oriana saw her brother fall as she fled for her own life. She returned to the house in the early hours of the morning when she found the bodies of her brother's family but no sign of him anywhere.
Oriana is devastated, she is sure that her brother is dead but has no prove as his body is missing and for the first time in her life she finds herself all alone. The next night just as Oriana is about to kill herself Ezekial appears much to Oriana's amazement and attempts to embrace her, although he lacks the knowledge to complete the act. In his sisters last moments, Gabriela stumbles across the pair, she sees the desperation in Ezekial and finally agrees to give Ezekial the crash course in embracing.
After her brother's monumental screw up, Gabriela is forced to look after both children until such a time as they are able to fend for themselves.
1890 - Ezekial is finally released from Gabriela's accounting 22 years after being embraced, she transfers Oriana's accounting to him.
1895 - After 27 years, 22 under Gabriela and another five under Ezekial, Oriana is released from Ezekial's accounting. With her new found freedom she travels to France in the hope that putting some distance between herself and her brother will allow her to find herself independant of the brother she has been with for so long.
1896 - 1900 Oriana ends up in Paris where she gets caught up in the world of the high society, she attends partys and gatherings both those of mortals and of kindred and takes an active role in the politics of the paris court to distract herself from the growing ache the absence of being near her brother is having on her. In Paris she meets a Daeva who takes an interest in her rough sketches of dresses and introduces her to the fashion industry, she sells some of her designs to various fashion houses and soon she sees woman on the street wearing the clothes that were first a rough drawing in her notebook, she becomes annoyed when her designs take off but she is not given any credit for them and begins designing only for kindred that she feels are worthy of her time. In her private world she carries on relationships with various cruel men in an attempt to relive some of what she is missing from her brother, none of these relationships ever work as nobody can make her hurt like he can and as the years tick by the begins to crave the sweetness and beauty of pain more and more.
1900 - 1905 Through her regular attendance within the Paris court Oriana meets a Circle of the Crone who captures her attention. He speaks to her of the crone in ways that she understands and before long she decides that she wishes to join the crone. The pain of the crone rituals, the beauty of the worship of the mother/crone all make sense to her as without pain you can never really have true beauty. It takes five years of hard study and much pain at the hands of her mentor before she is deemed worthy and accepted in to the circle of the crone as an accolyte.
She never beleived that she could fit with the Lancea sanctum despite the majoirty of her family being LS as she did not beleive that just because she was kindred she was damed, rather she beleived that vampires make up a natural part of the world and that they can grow and learn and change and even one day find enlightenment. Vampires she beleives are just another creation of God and through creation comes power.
1905 - 1925 Oriana serves her Crone Master for twenty years in return for his teachings and guidance. Many of those years are spent enduring torment after torment or causing torment to others as the years pass by Oriana begins to wonder if she made the right choice is joining the crone. The more she learns the more the crone magic scares her and the more she hurts others the more the feeling that she is doing wrong grows within her but serving her Master fufills her need for pain without her having to run back home to her brother.
1925 - 1935
After the required twenty years of service to her Master are completled Oriana begins to wander, searching for the truth of her beleifs.
During this time she embraces a childe (NPC for the time being unless anyone wishes to feel this hole) she teaches her childe the way of the crone in much the same way it was taught to her. Eventaully with her childe Oriana returns to France in search of her Crone Master.
1936 - 1938 Paris Oriana leaves the crone and passes her childe into the safe keeping of her former crone Master.
1939 - Returns home to Singapore and her brother but will not say much of where she has been or what she has done.
1940 - At last ready to speak of where she has been since her release she tells her brother of joining the crone and then of why she decided to leave the crone. Through many nights of discussion with her brother she comes to repent her past and seeing the light at last joins the LS.
