Timeline

20st Century

1900 - Orin Alexandre Deshayes was born on July 8 1900 at 11:51 am in Lussac les Chateau, France to Margarette (bastard daughter of Édouard Vaillant) and Anatole Deshayes.

1902 - Was orphaned when his parents were executed for treason. Being members of Parti socialiste de France, they played a part in a conspiracy to destabilize the French government. Orin was promptly spirited away to live with his father's only sister in San Francisco.

1903 - Orin started to display paranormal abilities such as being able to see spirits and foretell events that were yet to happen. His aunt then decided to tell him all about his family line, including Orin's famous ancestor Catherine La Vision, a sorceress and poisoner from 17th century France.

1913 - His aunt began to teach him other things such as deportment, tarot, palmistry, poisons, subterfuge and the black arts.

1916 - Orin begins work as the resident fortune teller at his aunt's burlesque house.

1921 - During one of his consults, Orin had a vision of great darkness, pain and blood. That same year, he travelled back to France, hoping to find answers.

1924 - Orin was embraced by Ezekial.

1929 – Ezekial released Orin. Orin felt as though he was being abandoned and plotted against Ezekial to see just how far he can fall. For Orin, this was the last straw and his sense of trust began to wane.

1930s - Orin encountered Lord Charles Dietrich in Berlin whilst working in a cabaret house.

1940 - Charles introduced Orin to the Invictus.

1941 - Unsettled, Orin travelled back to Siam to try to find his sire, but was captured by the Japanese enroute. Enraged, he felt as though this was one of Ezekial's plots to be rid of him. After spending time with them, developed a slight case of Stockholm Syndrome.

1942 - Japan invaded Singapore. Orin made sure he went along.

1949 - In Italy, encountered Malik and embraced him.

1955 - Orin released Malik to experience the world on his own for a while and told him to return after 3 years as he would have an assignment for him.

1968-1988 – Spent this time travelling through Europe studying up on the Black Arts and occult mysticism from various texts scattered throughout the continent.

21st Century

2008 - Sent Malik on a special assignment, but as a test (and for Orin's own personal amusement) Orin gave his childe temporary amnesia so that he may achieve his goal with greater ease and not accidentally comprimise his mission.

2009 - Orin travelled to Brisbane, Australia to find what had become of his progeny...and so it begins....

  • July - Arrived in the Brisbane Court and presented himself to the Prince Lord Septimus and Lady Septima Bishop. Encountered his sire Ezekial de la Lanza and his sister Oriana. The meeting was reminicent of a rip beneath the waves. One waiting for the other to faulter so that they may be pulled under. Only Oriana managed to stop the two from devouring each other. Orin's hatred still seethed after all these years apart. He also encounters Ishmael Benson, an unaligned Gangrel with ripped pants. He enquires about the Invictus and whether or not to get new pants. Oriana states that she'll make him a pair. Though slightly put off by his rough exterior, Orin is still amused by him and decides to quietly keep an eye out for him...whilst he behaves. After all, he is still part of Biship Walker's brood. Encounters Xochi Ixchelquetzal, a Mekhet Crone in Aztec garb. He is entranced by Xochi and her ways. She invites him to attend one of her rituals, and accepts. Though he wonders whether he would be a spectator, participant or a sacrifice. He intends to find out more.
  • August - Attends the birthday bash of Harriet Windsor, one of Bishop Walker's pups. He enchants a rose given to her, stating it would stay in full bloom for one week. This seemed to please her. His second encounter with Ezekial increases in quiet hostility, more so that other members of the court begin to notice.
  • September - Was appointed Prince's Harpy. A few people were not pleased.
  • October

- Court in Canberra - A large gathering of the Kindred of Australia happened in the Nation's Capital. A lot had happened. Orin met a few very important members of the Kidred community, re-united with members of his family, and, naturally, made a few more enemies...to note later.

- Court in Brisbane - held in a mansion in Tennyson, was a Halloween Party. The Premier of Sydney attended. A few other interesting things had happened as well...to note later.

  • November - Following a botched ritual, Orin attends court and slowly flashes back to the mannerisms of his younger days. The Heirophant of Melbourne had come to visit and ran a foul of her, but only to have things patched up and a gift given. He later finds that it was tainted with magic. Magic he'd like to possess. He enlists the assistance of Lord Dietrich's new childe Lady Archer as his assistant. Though she can barely speak a word of english, Orin remembers the german he learnt whilst in Berlin. He continues to quietly tormet a few of the Brisbane court, eg. calling Mr Banks "Bankrupt" till after offering a boon to the Prince, had Orin stopped. Orin now addresses him as "Mr. Gelatti".

  • Orin is merely a heretic and a whore with a silver tongue who has for the moment escaped the inevitable wrath of the Santified.
