Talaitha is a carnival performer known for both her control of animals and accuracy with thrown knives. Talaitha has been a familiar face since the days of the travelling players. She is more physical than intellectual, she respects strength and power but despises the lies and politics of Kindred Society. She is a blunt and unsubtle creature. However the antics of Kindred society can amuse her, and much in the manner of a cat toying with a mouse she will come in from the wilderness and inflict herself upon Kindred and mortal society when the boredom of unending life gets to her.
Description:
Talaitha has pale skin & dark eyes. She is female, appears to be in her late twenties, her hair is black, curly, usually long, messy and tangled. Typical dress is old jeans, colourful gypsy/hippy styled shirts, long earrings, and excessive bangles. Belted and chained around her waist are a number of component pouches for crone cruac rituals and a great number of old iron keys. She carries knives for rituals and for throwing in battle (wears a concealed shoulder harness, and if openly hunting also a knife harness around one thigh.)
Attitude is rather cat like; Talaitha despises paperwork (if in animal form she will probably eat it), politics and politicians (aka liars.)
Notable traits
- Talaitha is often accompanied by a hulking hound of indeterminate breed, and the size of a small pony.
- Talaitha always wears a great number of old iron keys.
- The clawed mark of the House of the Pure has been tattooed to the back of her left hand and shows her pride and loyalty to her lineage.

1830 Born to Irish/English middle class
1846 Romance with a low ranking officer in the British army
1847 Engaged to the low ranking officer in the British army - a three year engagement is proposed by father to be, mostly in the hopes that his son will make a more prestigious liaison
1848 Fiancé ships out to India during British company rule (Calcutta / Bengal / Delhi)
1848 Spring - Talaitha suffers a bad attack of the measles and a bout of teenaged angst where she wanders around feeling sorry for herself because her fiancés letters are "short and cold" and thus there is reasonable evidence he doesn't fancy her anymore... also... spots!
1849 The three years being up, it is arranged for Talaitha to be chaperoned out to India to be wedded.
1852 Talaitha meets an old tiger in the jungle. (NPC: Shrenik 'the tiger')
1854 Talaitha gives birth to a daughter
1857 Caught up in the Indian Rebellion of 1857. Talaitha is taken hostage in Cawnpore with 200-400 other British women and children, these hostages are shortly dismembered & slaughtered. The dead and the dying are thrown into a dry well. Talaitha is a survivor of the black pits, her daughter is not.
1857 Embraced by Shrenik 'the tiger' (NPC)
1857-59 Together Talaitha & her sire shadow the wars and skirmishes of Indian versus British, feeding on the dead and dying & surviving as scavengers on the battlefronts
1860 Talaitha's sire leaves her to fend for herself. She never sees him again.
1860-70 Contact with 'Kshatriya' bloodline - most of Tabbys budding kindred belifs spawned from contact with the Kshatriyas.
18XX Inducted into the ways of Circle of the Crone by Lady Lenore

1900 Collected by grand-sire Cassius to join Pure-Altair conflict in Croatia (& subsequently abandoned as Cassius vanishes from kindred society without warning.)
1900-XX Journeys on the Teylya with Spindrift of the Pure
1953-60 Sired Dr Ezekial Smith after he survives a military lab explosion (siberia) during the Russian Cold War.
1997 Attracted by the carnival 'end of days' atmosphere of the looming return of the city to Chinese rule the Wolf Pack spends several months in Hong Kong

Known by Kindred Society
Though a habitual traveler, Talaitha has ties with Katya from her time with the wolf-pack. Talaitha seems to have an extensive history with Lady Lenore whom she casually refers to as 'The Purple Lady'. For reasons not widely known Talaitha is unusally fond of Dr Ezekial Smith. She seems to be somewhat excessively wary of her Grand-sire Cassius.
